The story of Azam Wheat Flour began with the vision of Said Salim Awadh Bakhresa. As his restaurant and bakery business grew, he faced one recurring challenge — a reliable supply of high-quality wheat flour. Instead of depending on inconsistent suppliers, he chose to solve the problem himself. In 1983, he established a wheat milling business to produce consistent, premium flour for his bakery. That decision laid the foundation for Azam Wheat Flour, transforming a simple business challenge into one of East & Southern Africa's leading milling operations.
